Protect Yourself from Extreme Cold in Northern Outfitters Winter Clothing

July 7, 2010 · Filed Under Recreation and Sports · Comment

Northern Outfitters has revolutionized winter gear technology – for your parka, pants, boots and the rest – with our patented Vaetrex insulation. Vaetrex stands for Vapor Attenuating and Expelling, Thermal Retaining. In English, that means our clothing retains warmth while wicking moisture away from your body. This is the very best, most efficient system for warm, breathable winter parkas and other outerwear.

Our Arctic winter clothing systems have been tested in the most extreme environments known to man. An outstanding parka, snow pants, boots and mittens system is needed in any extreme cold undertaking. That’s why our winter clothing is worn by the top mushers in the Iditarod dogsled race. These guys and gals know that the wrong choice in warm winter clothing could kill them.

And since you can wear our Arctic systems without heavy layers underneath, it frees you up from the normal bulk associated with most warm winter clothing. Keeping warm down to 60 below zero is no problem with the Vaetrex technology built into our winter clothing systems. When your team and your life depends on being able to make quick decision and move freely, Northern Outfitters winter clothing fits the bill every time.

Outstanding dogsled racer Aily Zirkle wrote to thank us for helping her races with our unbeatable parka, snow pants, boots and mitten system. “I wanted to let you know that your gear improved my race. This system is truly amazing. I raced both the Copper Basin 300 and the Iditarod in your gear. The 50 below CB 300 was what proved to me what a quality product it is. Iditarod was no walk in the park this year either, and I was confident in Northern Outfitters winter clothing when others where freezing nearly to death. No more multiple layers. I will surely be ordering some additional gear for next season,” wrote Aliy Zirkle, champion musher.

“I want to thank Northern Outfitters for their super gear. In all of my years of travel in Alaska’s arctic regions, I have used many different types of winter gear apparel for my expeditions. Not until I found Northern Outfitters did I really get the cold weather protection that I’ve been looking for,” another adventurer said. “Your Expedition Arctic Parka is by far one of the warmest and most comfortable that I have ever worn. Last year I traveled from Fairbanks to Barrow in blistering conditions with temperatures reaching well below -60

Karate Secrets, The Master Text

June 8, 2010 · Filed Under Recreation and Sports · Comment

I’d like to let you in on some karate secrets. What is Karate anyway? It is a way you can protect yourself without the use of any armaments. It is a method of self-defense that goes back hundreds of years. Nobility were the ones that were using karate and their method were kept under lock and key. Nobody had access to these secrets. They used these methods to show how powerful they were above the common people.

The most excellent thing about karate is that you don’t have to be physically powerful to do it. Using it can be supernatural because when you assault or protect yourself you leave the other person without sensation and they are not capable of fighting back. Killing someone using karate would be very easy.

The attacker has certain moves that you would turn around and use against them. Let’s say you had someone 350 pounds coming after you and you don’t weight no more than 150 pounds, you could defend yourself with karate and defeat them. The body has certain sensitive pressure points that you touch when doing karate.

If you practice this art form correctly, you can leave the person who is attacking you immobile for hours. Back in the day the Emperor trained the guards in karate to protect royalty. Karate was in demand in World War 2. It is nice to be able to have a smaller man out power a larger one. Taking someone else’s life would be an easy thing to do so you have to be careful when doing karate. You should use karate to immobilize your attacker so you can get away from them.

Your whole physique is used when doing karate. You can transform your figure into rock hard muscle when doing karate. You’d be surprised at how many people do karate. Imagine yourself small with a 6 foot 5 inch person coming after you. You could paralyze them to get away from the attacker, because the law is never around when you are being attacked.

This art form requires you to breathe correctly. Many individuals don’t know how to breathe the right way. Those that live in America take don’t take breathing seriously. Breathing is a significant function. You can get the poisons out of your system by breathing the right way. Doing this brings more oxygen to all areas of your body.

Karate builds up self-esteem. Your frame of mind improves a lot as well. Keep a good posture and loosen up. If you’re not standing up straight with your stomach pulled in, you’re not going to be able to perform these moves.

Your body is made up from the food you eat, so you want to eat correctly. Eating protein is good, but avoid sugar, starches and fat. Keep your body flushed with lots of water. Now you know some of my karate secrets.
